Please take a moment to read the information about our cottage amenities and rules to follow that will make your stay and other's stay more enjoyable.  Your online reservation includes your agreement to abide by these policies.

 

*A damage deposit of $150 will be charged during your booking.  This will be refunded back to you upon completion of your room cleaning.  Any missing items, damage, unreasonable wear and tear, or excessive mess that would result in extra cleaning to our cottages will result in a loss of your deposit.  (Please note:  We are reasonable.  If a cup gets broken, no big deal.  If a lamp gets broken we will have to charge.)

 

*We offer a full refund on any cancellations made 30 days or more before your intended stay, and half back if cancelled within two weeks.  No refund if less than two weeks before intended stay.  We will consider requests to change dates.

 

*Please, no smoking, not even in the screened porches.  If you smoke in the cottages you will incur a $150 cleaning fee.  NO MARIJUANA smoking on our property.  Thanks for your consideration.

*Check-in time is after 4 pm, Check-out time is 11 am, Eastern time.  Please leave by 11 am so we can start cleaning for the next guests.

* IMPORTANT!  Please use common sense when using our fire pits and grills.  Hoses are located next to cottages 1, 4, and the well pit adjacent to 9.  We are not responsible for physical harm due to carelessness around these areas.

​

*One towel set per guest has been supplied.  We ask that you do not use them for the beach or for make-up removal.  Bring your own beach towels and please leave ours in the cottages.

​

*We do not offer cleaning or laundry during your stay so please reuse your towels.  If your stay is longer than a week we will be happy to do light cleaning and change your towels.  Sorry but use of laundry facilities is not available.

​

*Sorry, but WE DO NOT ALLOW PETS at our cottages.  If you wish to board your pets there are a few places nearby (we are providing their information but do not endorse these places as we have never used them). If a pet is found on the property then you will be asked to remove the pet and lose your deposit.

*We have installed keyless entry locks on the cottages.  Email us a 4 digit code before your stay and we will program it in.  This will help facilitate late night arrival.  Just enter the code, press the gatehouse button to unlock.  Press the gatehouse button to lock.

 

*The cottages will be provided with linens, towels, two rolls of toilet paper, roll paper towel, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and dish soap.  Meal preparation supplies such as pots, pans, and dishes are also provided.  We do not provide anything beyond what is in your cottage upon arrival.

*Firepits have been placed around our premises and are available to be used by all our Sand Castles guests.  Firewood will be provided.  If none is at a pit you wish to use, there is more by the well pit adjacent to cottage 9.

 

*Some outdoor games such as disc golf and corn hole have been provided for your enjoyment.  Please keep these and all other outdoor furniture/items on the premises, and store the games behind the laundry room when not in use.

 

*Please keep your room and vehicles locked.  We are not responsible for theft.

 

*Have an enjoyable stay and take advantage of the amenities of this area!  Your room will have a list of some favorite things our family likes do to and enjoy in this area.  If you should need any assistance during your stay, please call or text us anytime, 269-769-8288.  There is no office on site but we live only a mile away.
